The 5th Golf Asia Masters continues to build on its past successes.
The Golf Asia Masters is growing to be one of the most anticipated social golf tournaments on the annual calendar. This year’s fifth anniversary saw a maximum 144 golfers enjoying the challenge of the Tampines Course at Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC), with many left on the waiting list.

This year’s presenting sponsor was adidas, and the goodie bags offered a twist. Using a cheeky blind box concept, items of random colours were given to golfers. The men had reversible belts and a cap in a shoulder tote, while the ladies were given a ribbon cap and long socks in a black shoulder tote bag.

Hong Leong Assurance and Mitsubishi Electric Asia were this year’s main sponsors, and Smartship Hub was the co-sponsor of Golf Asia Masters 2026. Cartimes Group came in as the car sponsor with a Mercedes C200 AMG Line offered as a hole-in- one prize on hole 4. Other hole-in-one sponsors included W Atelier with a prize of $50,000 worth of designer furnishings (hole 6), HL Assurance with $100,000 of cash (hole 14), and Cornerstone with 120 bottles of wine (hole 16).
Leonian, distributors of Callaway, was the official equipment sponsor and offered demos of the latest Callaway Quantum range on the day of the event to anyone wanting to give them a go at the TMCC driving range.

Customarily, there was more than just great golf at the Tampines Course to greet the golfers. Brotzeit offered a special treat to all participants with food at the halfway house to make sure golfers didn’t go hungry. In addition to the Backhendl Burgers (chicken sliders with remoulade sauce) that were fried on the spot at the course, Brotzeit’s classic items were big hits. These included Laugenbrezn (freshly baked Bavarian pretzels), Pilz and Truffel (mushroom and truffle) tartlets, Kasebrotchen (Obatzda and Emmental cheese with grapes), and Knusprige Schweinshaxnpraline (golden fried pork knuckle with sauerkraut praline and mustard-chili dip).

After the round, Joyre Group provided golfers with a special treat of a short tui na massage to soothe their bodies. Cornerstone Wines helped soothe the soul from the inside out with some fine wines, while Carlsberg sponsored beers for those preferring an ice cold one.

Great prizes awaited the tournament winners. The top golfer Raymond Tan received a Callaway Quantum Max driver from Leonian, an adidas golf bag, and Hydro Flask trophy. First runner-up Akshay Yadava won a Callaway Max Fast Hybrid from Leonian, a Boston bag and Hydro Flask trophy, and second-runner-up Lim Han Ren went home with a Odyssey putter, a Boston bag and Hydro Flask trophy. Soojin Kim, the best Lady Golfer, won a Hydro Flask trophy and vouchers worth $2,000 from Society A.

The Between The Line novelty game was won by Bernard Lee who won a Callaway fairway wood for his effort. Mike Lim hit his drive to within 10cm of the line on hole 8 to win Nearest the Line and a pair of adidas shoes. In the Closest to adidas’ Heart novelty game, Bernard Chong won a pair of adidas shoes with his 3m effort. And Lim Eng Thiam Beat The Pro and won an Odyssey putter from Leonian.

Once again, this year’s Golf Asia Masters saw nearly one in every two golfers walking home with a lucky draw prize. The top five prizes included a TCM experience from Joyre Group, a comprehensive skin wellness package from Alpha Asia Aesthetics, an Edox watch from Crystal Time, a Sayl gaming chair from XTRA, and the top prize of a set of Callaway Quantum Max irons with adidas golf cart bag.
