Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) marked the 50th Golden Jubilee edition of a tradition with golf and dinner at Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) in June.

The tradition began in 1976, and this year, 148 golfers took part in a golf tournament, and close to 300 in the dinner celebration that followed. Industry leaders, partners and guests took their games to the recently developed Island Course at SICC, where they not only enjoyed the scenic environment, but also dim sum and satay at the halfway house.

This milestone Golden Jubilee edition saw seven sponsors for hole-in-one prizes, including Audio Housem BSG Trading Pte Ltd, Geberit South East Asia Pte Ltd, Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd, Performance Motors, V-ZUG Pte Ltd, and W. Atelier Pte Ltd. Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd, TOTO, Wee Hur Property Pte Ltd, and Woh Hup Pte Ltd were Platinum Sponsors of the event.

In addition to tournament prizes, novelty events on the course like Nearest to Pin, and Nearest to Line had every golfer on their toes throughout the afternoon. Mr Mark Lim emerged as the winner in the Men’s Division, with Mr Lim Hoo Wee and Mr Alex Chua coming in second and third respectively. Ms Dora Chng took the Women’s Division title, with Ms Chan Hui Min coming in second.

A special celebratory dinner was also hosted, bringing golfers, industry partners and non-golfers together to commemorate this remarkable milestone. Competition extended through to the evening where prizes were given away for the best dressed attending. Guests came in their most colourful attire to vie for the Best Dressed Lady and Best Dressed Man titles. Other activities that awaited participants included test drives offered by various car companies, a fashion show, and an AI Booth for the diners.

REDAS’ celebrates half a century of bringing members and valued industry partners together to connect, strengthen business relationships and celebrate the spirit of collaboration that has long characterized the real estate industry over the years.
