David Wong’s frustration with finding golf partners led him to start Deemples in 2016. Fast forward a decade and the community has grown to more than a “matchmaking” sites for golfers in Malaysia and Singapore.

Deemples has not only grown in strength and reach, but has expanded its services to include tee time bookings, handicap management, organization of golf competition, and stay-and-play packages across the region. And, yes, golfers can still access the website and hook up with likeminded enthusiasts for a game.

In a recent tie-up with Golf Asia, golfers can also access Deemples’ services and booking platform directly from the Golf Asia website (golfasiasg.com). The landing page offers a button that takes you directly to the booking service where golfers can access all of Deemples’ offerings.

The platform connects users with over 350 golf courses in six countries across the Asia-Pacific region. Singapore golfers can book tee times at Sentosa Golf Club and Warren Golf & Country Club. The core market in Malaysia features over 100 partner golf courses and more than 350 golf locations. Indonesia is also served, with a concentration in Batam and Jakarta. In the Philippines, tee-time matching and booking are available, and golfers in Brunei can organize and join games. Deemples is also expanding their reach in Australia, with a current focus starting in Victoria.

In early 2025, and as reported in Digital News Asia, Deemples launched in Thailand after an injection of US$2 million in funding. To date, the site offers nearly 50 golf courses in Bangkok, Pattaya, Khao Yai, Phuket and beyond and for tee-time bookings, including top courses like Alpine Golf Club, Nikanti Golf Club, Siam Country Club, and Red Mountain Golf Club.
